ESFR Young Scientist Prize 2014

Call for Nominations for ESFR Young Scientist Prize 2014

The ESFR Young Scientist Prize was established to recognize the best research article published by an ESFR Young Scholar during the past two academic years. Nominations are sought for the 2014 award. In order to qualify, the nominee must be a Ph.D. student or recent post doc (Ph.D. defended no earlier than 2010) and first author. The article must be published (either on-line or in-print) in a peer-reviewed journal between June 1, 2012 and May 31, 2014.

The prize is made available only to the members of ESFR. Any published article on a peer-reviewed journal, regardless of the language, may be submitted, but non-English language articles should be submitted in both their original language and with a translation in order for it to be judged by the Scientific Committee for its merit.

The award winner would receive a certificate, €300, and free Congress registration for the 7th Congress in Madrid.

The winner is expected to give a presentation of the paper at the Congress. Ph.D. students and young researchers wishing to participate in the competition must send their article to the Organizing Committee or in our social networks to our community manager. The following information should be included in the email: full name, highest university degree held and year of award, current position including institutional affiliation with complete mailing address, telephone number, and email address. Applications must be submitted not later than June 1st, 2014. The winner will be notified by email not later than July 1st, 2014.
